For the past 9 months, we've been teaching interactive English lessons to a group of kids in south Zagreb. Our "spring season" ended a few months ago, but we held a one-day summer lesson this May.
This time, we mixed things up a bit.

On the surface level, our activities reviewed what we had covered during our regular sessions. We didn't want to throw anything new at them after a break.
But we wanted to do a little more than just review English. We wanted to share something True with them.
So we decided that we would also theme our activities on honesty or trust.

There's a picture of their favorite activity below. I ask them a review question or give them a review task. If they get it right, I put a blindfold on and they can give me a spoon-full of candy, or a spoon-full of baby food. If they're wrong, they put the blindfold on and I choose for them.
I ate a lot of baby food.

At the end, Savannah shared a story about a time when she broke her mom's vase and learned about honesty. The kids loved it, and many of them are coming to our summer Bible camp for the first time this summer!
We also hosted a Let's Start Talking team from the U.S. for a couple weeks this May. We had around 20 adults come to read the Bible and practice their English. Savannah and I (and another American named John) read with them for a week as well.
We had a lot of great conversations, and we're really excited to continue studying the Bible with them.

Some of them came just to practice English, but a few came because they really wanted to know more about the Bible and were searching for God. Please pray for them as we continue to study with them.
We also completed our last Discipleship Making Movement training session. One Bible study group with an unbeliever has already begun, and we have more in the works.
Of all the things we're involved in here, this is the most exciting to us: reading the Bible with people looking for God and then obeying what we read together, becoming disciples.

We've been really busy these past few weeks with preparation for summer camps (which start next week), so please pray for us, and keep a look out for our Champs Camp update coming soon!
