Changing Plans

As for many of you, April was a strange month for us - a mix of disappointment, novelty, monotony, and hope.
Much of our summer camps and events have been cancelled just like our late-spring ones have. Unfortunately, this includes the 10-year anniversary of Champs Camp, teen camp, and family camp.
We have some fun alternatives in the works though, which have me pretty excited. We're currently working on preparations for a Champs Camp video, complete with small animations, green screen effects, and more. That's the plan anyway.
In the meantime, we've had other ministries to keep us busy.
We meet with the teens about once a week, whether that's over video call in a large group or going for a walk, one-on-one.
I preached a sermon over the parable of the unrighteous manager (Luke 16) on the first Sunday we were allowed to meet again. It's one of those parables we often ignore because it confuses us. But I think the places in the Bible that confuse or scare us are passages we should look closer at, not ignore, and so we did.
Savannah also keeps in regular contact with some ladies from our Let's Keep Talking Bible Study group from February. They want to keep reading the Bible together, so we're working on finding safe ways to make that happen.
We've also started working with a group that uses online media to help find people who are seeking God. We even wrote a script for one of the videos they'll soon use.
Please continue to pray for us, not necessarily that everything will go back to normal, but more than anything that we can be a part of what God is doing right now.
